QUANTOR COMPUTE by WTG-Quantor Talk to a cooling specialist
Technology

European industrial cooling, re-engineered for compute.

Reliable compute cooling, a compact footprint that saves floor space, performance matched to demand and a long service life. Here is the engineering that delivers it.

01 · Scroll compressors

Fewer moving parts, longer life.

Every standard unit runs a fully hermetic scroll compressor: a sealed, compact design with two interlocking spirals and very few moving parts. It is the workhorse of modern precision cooling. The i models (e.g. Chilly Max 70i and MCK 140i, 181i and 320i, with more to come) use an inverter compressor: compressor output matches the cooling load.

What it brings you
  • High efficiency at full load, with an inverter compressor for partial-load operation in i models
  • Economical and quiet, with smooth, low-vibration operation
  • Hermetically sealed design: no shaft seals, reducing the risk of refrigerant leakage
  • Proven reliability for long, continuous duty

02 · Microchannel condensers

More heat rejection in less space.

Instead of round copper tubes and aluminum fins, microchannel coils use flat aluminum tubes with multiple small internal passages, brazed to aluminum fins.

What it brings you
  • Compact, efficient heat transfer: high performance in a compact coil design, helping reduce overall unit size
  • Lower refrigerant charge: reduced internal volume can significantly lower the charge compared with conventional tube-and-fin designs
  • Improved resistance to galvanic corrosion: all-aluminum construction eliminates the copper–aluminum galvanic couple within the coil itself

03 · Plate heat exchangers

Tight temperature control from a compact core.

Stacked stainless plates move heat from your coolant to the refrigerant across a very large surface area packed into a small block.

What it brings you
  • Close approach temperatures for precise, stable supply temperature
  • Compact and efficient, freeing space inside the housing
  • Robust stainless construction for long service life

04 · Stainless steel fluid system

Stainless steel, from tank to piping.

Every unit circulates coolant through a stainless steel tank with a level indicator and insulated piping.

What it brings you
  • Stainless steel tank and fluid circuit
  • The tank adds buffer volume that helps absorb moderate load changes
  • Stainless construction built for continuous duty

Up to 300 L stainless buffer tank
05 · Reliable pump technology

Steady flow, built in.

Every unit includes an integrated centrifugal pump and insulated piping, so one compact unit delivers coolant to your loop. Standard pumps run at about 2.5 bar on the Chilly 45 and 3–4 bar on Chilly Max and MCK, on the strong side for units this size. Variable-speed pumps up to 7 bar (100 psi), as well as high- and low-pressure pumps, are available on request for Chilly Max and MCK.

What it brings you
  • Compact: the pump is built into the unit, ready to connect
  • Automatic bypass on MCK units protects the pump when flow is restricted

06 · R513A refrigerant

Lower climate impact, with proven A1 safety.

R513A is a non-flammable (A1 safety class) refrigerant blend with a global warming potential (GWP) of approximately 630, offering a lower-GWP alternative to many commonly used refrigerants.

What it brings you
  • Reduced climate impact: a lower GWP helps reduce the potential climate impact of refrigerant emissions
  • Regulatory awareness: aligned with the transition toward refrigerants with reduced climate impact
  • A1 safety classification: non-flammable under the applicable classification standard, supporting use in appropriately designed installations

R513A GWP ≈ 630 · about 70% lower than R410A
07 · Vertical heat rejection

Warm air goes up, so your aisles stay cooler.

On Chilly Max and MCK units, the condenser fan sits on top and discharges warm air upward.

What it brings you
  • Place the unit against a wall on any side
  • Enables you to keep hot exhaust out of the room's working space
  • Simplifies ducting to an exhaust or ceiling return*
* Free discharge of the unit's air must be assured. Ducting must not add pressure loss that hinders the discharge of hot air, so we review any ducting plan with you before installation.

08 · Controls and monitoring

Set it, see it, connect it.

An integrated digital controller manages temperature, with level and flow protection built in. The display keeps a fault history on both standard and i models, so past alarms can be reviewed at the unit. Chilly Max and MCK units provide a volt-free common fault alarm contact. A Modbus interface for building management systems is optional on all units.

What it brings you
  • Simple setpoint control and digital display at the unit
  • Fault history stored on the display, on standard and i models
  • Common fault alarm contact on Chilly Max and MCK, to wire into your BMS or alarm system
  • Optional Modbus interface on all units
